Butterfly Garden (working name) is a puzzle game where you control a butterfly. The goal of the game is to take control of all pillars in the garden, by making colored small butterflies reach them, and then unlocking the runes protecting them. The game can be played in Single Player, where the player has to control all pillars. Multiplayer Cooperative let’s two players join efforts in solving the puzzle together. Multiplayer Versus can be played either in two, or four players. Each mode has its own set of maps. In the Multiplayer Versus mode, the players struggle to control as many pillars as possible by the end of the time. After unlocking a pillar, the player can set runes on it, in order to take control of it, and set a protection against the other players, which will have to unlock any runes present on the pillar, before stealing it. The demo contains a tutorial, five levels for Singleplayer and Multiplayer Cooperative, one level for Multiplayer Versus with 2 players, and one level for Multiplayer Versus with 4 players. Basic controls: Use the Left Stick to move the butterfly. While standing over a flower, drawing a circle with the right stick causes the adjacent flowers to rotate in the direction of the circle (clockwise or counter clockwise); moving the Right Stick from side to side causes the flowers to the left and to the right of the current flower to switch places; moving the stick up and down several times, causes the flowers above and below the current flower to switch colors. When the small colored butterflies encounter a flower of the same color as theirs, they can pass above it. A pillar can only be interacted with when small colored butterflies reach it. In Single Player, any color that reaches the pillar is ok. In Multiplayer Versus mode, the color of the player must reach the pillar. While standing over a pillar, drawing a clockwise circle enters either Unlock Mode, which allows removal of protection symbols, if the pillar is controlled by someone else, or by the environment; or Takeover Mode (Multiplayer VS only), which allows adding your own protection runes. To unlock/add a rune (symbol), it must be drawn using the Right Stick. For example, to draw a circle, the right stick must first be moved up, and then rotated around the edges of its movement area. To draw a cross, the movements would be: move stick up, return to center, move stick right, return to center, move stick down, return to center, and finally move stick left and return to center. For a better view of the level, if the Left Shoulder Button is pressed, the camera can be moved around with the Right Stick and zoomed with the D-Pad. A tutorial is provided to teach the player the controls and the goal of the game. Playing the tutorial is highly recommended. The game can be played on Windows XP, Vista and Xbox 360
